The dental implant process we use is extremely well planned out, and effective:
We evaluate your oral health, discuss your goals and select the ideal implant procedure for you.
Treatment Plan We use cutting-edge imaging to generate a phenomenon plan that is unique to your anatomy.
The dental implant is inserted into the jawbone under local anesthetic.
It will be a few months for the implant to form a union with the bone (osseointegration).
Regular drilling completed (implant completely healed), the abutment is secured to the implant and finally, the crown is placed to restore the tooth.
Our board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons have successfully performed numerous complicated jaw surgeries. We work closely with orthodontists and dentists to ensure your treatment is comprehensive.
We use state of the art diagnostics, these include 3-D imaging and computer guided surgical treatment planning, to improve accuracy and results. We can even simulate surgery and anticipate the post- operative outcome so you know what to expect.
At Englewood Oral Surgery, we put the comfort and satisfaction of our patients above all else. We provide a range of anesthesia options including local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, intravenous sedation, and general anesthesia for a pain free experience. Our caring team are dedicated to helping you throughout your journey, from your first consultation right through to your aftercare.
Oral pathology is the specialty of dentistry and discipline of pathology that deals with the nature, identification, and management of diseases affecting the oral and maxillofacial regions. This comprises disorders of the soft tissues, salivary glands, jaw bones and lymph nodes. At Englewood Oral Surgery, our experts are trained to recognize potentially abnormal oral changes and can monitor suspicious growths for infection, non-cancerous growths, or more serious local concerns such as oral cancer.
If your dentist, or an oral surgeon, observes an abnormal-looking skin patch, lump, bump, ulcer or sore in your mouth, and the area doesn't heal on its own, he or she will recommend that the area be biopsied. A biopsy is the removal of a small amount of tissue to be examined under a microscope to see whether is it malignant. This is a crucial part in early detection and early diagnosis of diseases.
There should be no pain during the oral biopsy, as most are done with local anesthesia to numb the area. There may be some mild discomfort or swelling in the days following, that can be easily treated with over-the-counter pain relief.
Biopsy results typically take a few weeks. After we get the final pathology we will review the information with you and we will advise regarding next steps, monitoring, further treatment or referral to a subspecialist.
If you notice an intransigent sore, lump or patch, which does not heal in 2 weeks, call Englewood Oral Surgery today. A timely assessment and diagnosis could dramatically change therapeutic results.
